INVENTORY CONTROL COORDINATOR

Job Summary
Assesses stock supply and submits orders, verifies shipment receipt, and maintains deliveries across multiple campus locations, maintains inventory records to ensure unit has appropriate inventory. Responsible for purchasing and coordinating orders and communicating with the shops on status and availability of supplies, parts, materials, and equipment utilized by Facility Services. Requires a detailed individual with experience in warehouse operations with a heavy focus on Computerized Warehouse Management systems that has the ability to work well independently as well as in a team.
This position is not eligible for hybrid work and requires 100% onsite work.

Minimum Qualifications
- One year or more work experience in a warehousing, supply chain or service- related industry.
- Must possess a valid Wisconsin Driver license (or other such valid operator’s permit recognized by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation) and be able to meet or exceed the minimum requirements for driving on state business as detailed here:https://uwm.edu/risk-management/drivers/
- Evidence of ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Demonstrated customer service experience
- Willingness to operate (or learn to operate) a box truck and forklift
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior work experience in an inventory management role (beyond shipping/receiving/warehousing)
- Experience using TMA or another computerized maintenance management or inventory management system
- Forklift experience and certification
- Box truck experience
- Demonstrated purchasing experience, especially government entity purchasing
- Proficient with mobile devices, voice, text, photos, messaging, etc. in a professional setting
