The Plant Healthcare Technician position empowers the technician with the ability to cultivate and nurture the valuable properties of YPGA customer base. Plant Health Care is the integrated approach to repairing and protecting valuable trees and shrubs that cannot be replaced many times in a single lifetime or even two or three generations.

What You’ll Do:

PHC techs will be working on trees, shrubs, and lawns performing some of the following items

Fertilization
Integrated pest management for both insects, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies 
Decompaction of soil
Soil work with amendments
Lawn fertilization and broadleaf weed spraying

When all PHC work is complete YPGA will utilize our PHC techs for an assortment of additional estate care services such as:

Tree pruning
Tree removal 
Stump grinding 
Landscaping 
Grading
Drainage
Snow removal 

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

A dependable team player with a strong work ethic
Physically fit and able to lift logs and heavy materials 
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
Previous experience with log splitting or landscaping is a plus but not required - we’ll train the right person!
