2025 Seasonal Employment Opportunity
The City of Delafield Public Works is currently accepting applications for the following 2025 seasonal positions:
Lake Weed Operations- This part-time seasonal position will start in late May and go through August, with a typical work week consisting of 40 hours. Hours may vary depending on workload and weather conditions. The primary duties include the operation of the lake weed cutter, weed transport barge, conveyor system, a 1-ton dump truck, equipment maintenance and some shoreline weed pick up. This position requires work in a variety of weather conditions.
Parks and Grounds Maintenance- This part-time seasonal position will include complete maintenance of all City parks and properties including- grass cutting, string trimming, trash pick-up, baseball field set up, tree and flower watering, weeding, edging, mulch installation, playground maintenance, special events set up and may include other public works functions as needed. This position can have flexible hours depending on the applicant’s availability.
Landscape Maintenance- This seasonal position will include complete maintenance of City streetscape planter beds located at all City properties. The primary duties will include plant care, flower watering, weeding, edging, spring and fall planter bed clean up, plant and bulb installations. knowledge of flowers and plants extremely helpful. This seasonal position will be starting in early April and ending in early November. This position can have flexible hours depending on the applicant’s availability.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license, and pass a pre-employment background check and substance abuse test. Starting hourly wage $15.00 per hour.
