Description
The City of Delavan is currently seeking a reliable and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Seasonal Cemetery Maintenance Worker. This position runs from April to October, with up to 40 hours per week, depending on weather conditions. Weekend work may be required.
In this role, you will be responsible for performing general grounds maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, and the upkeep of cemetery grounds. You will also maintain cemetery pathways, landscaping, and burial sites to ensure they remain well-kept and respectful. The position requires you to operate various outdoor equipment, such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers. You must be able to work independently, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have a strong work ethic, and be able to take initiative. Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions and availability for weekend shifts are required.
The starting wage is $15.00 per hour.
