Job Title:  General Labor 

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Division:  Weld & Weave

Location: 123 West Boxhorn Drive, Mukwonago, WI 53149

Shift Availability:

Flexible between the hours of 6:15am-10:15pm, depending on school hours and availability.

Pay: $22/hr.

Summary:

The General Labor position is a versatile role responsible for assisting current operators and keeping the departments running more efficiently.  The ideal candidate must be adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned. 

Weld:

Unload finished product (up to 50 lbs.) from welders; stack, band and transport as necessary.
Load line wires into the appropriate fixtures/guides/hoppers.
Retrieve pallets for next job during changeovers. Clean work area during machine downtime. (Sweeping, garbage, wipes down machines; organize wire staging area, etc.)
Assist the Set-Up Technician as needed and/or directed by Weld Line Supervisor.
Follow all safety procedures and ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of the work areas. 
Perform all necessary quality checks as directed by the Weld Line Supervisor and/or Setup Technician.
Maintain a neat and orderly workspace.
 

Weave:

1.      Warping – assist operators when they’re warping.

2.      Retrieve cross wires for operators.

a.      Identify miscuts.

3.      Move long wires for operators.

4.      Move finished pieces onto pallets.

a.      Apply size tags to pieces when necessary.

5.      Perform spot checks for quality on finished pieces.

a.      Width, Length, Square.

6.      Empty cross wire slugs/shear pans.

7.      Sweep weave lanes/main aisles.

8.      Collect garbage/recycling.

Requirements:

Must be able to read a tape measure with precise accuracy.
Ability to lift up to 50lb repetitively.
